Health Care News

March 24, 2010

A Gallup/USA Today poll, conducted on Monday, shows that 49% of the American People approve of the health care bill. Only 40 percent are opposed. This debunks all of the fiery political rhetoric the Republicans have been dishing out over the last months. President Obama has changed the trajectory of this country to a bottom-up economy that will benefit 98 percent of the people as opposed to the trickle-down economics of Reagan/Bush which benefited the top 2 percent. In an article by David Leonhardt, in the New York Times, he states, “For all the political and economic uncertainties about health reform, at least one thing seems clear: The bill that President Obama signed on Tuesday is the federal government’s biggest attack on economic inequality since inequality began rising more than three decades ago.”
